Udoh usenudoh4favour@gmail.com
Purpose: This study adopts the mixed approach to analyze the health and socio-economic outcome of 65 beneficiaries and 30 non-beneficiaries of the supportive housing scheme (FEYRep Shelter of Hope) in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.

Materials and Methods: A sampling frame containing the list of vulnerable groups who were beneficiaries and those on the waiting list (non-beneficiaries) was obtained from the FEYRep office and used to randomly select the samples. Oral testimony and questionnaire were used to collect relevant data for the study. Whereas, a thematic analysis of the transcript of oral testimony was done; the independent t-test was also employed to compare outcome between the two samples. Findings revealed a harrowing and degrading experience reported by the respondents who are still homeless or living in despicable housing. Furthermore, health and socio-economic outcome were found to differ significantly in favour of the beneficiaries.

Findings: Reinforce the fact that supportive housing has the potency to mediate and ameliorate the housing predicament of the vulnerable and also enhance their health and socio-economic status.

Implication to Theory, Practice and Policy: Further gains in this direction can be reaped if the FEYReP or other stakeholders in the supportive housing project can expand their scope of beneficiaries as well as providing social services for the beneficiaries.
2023-12-08T00:00:00+03:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Usen P. The objective of the study is to identify correlates of adherence to COVID -19 vaccinations and compare these correlates with those reported for SOC.

Methodology: Patient population: all acutely admitted adults in the medical departments of a 400-bed Israeli hospital after exclusion of those with COVID -19. Data sources: Electronic hospital database with updated vaccination data for COVID -19 from the Ministry of Health. Dependent variable: vaccination status. Independent variables: Demographics, laboratory test results, and the Norton Scale (physical and mental status, activity, mobility, and incontinence).

Findings: Younger age, female gender, decreased hemoglobin and albumin, and frailty of patients were associated with no vaccination.

Recommendations: Correlates of adherence to COVID-19 vaccination are similar to those of SOC. Adherence to health recommendations may be a marker for SOC.

2023-04-29T00:00:00+03:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Jochanan Benbassat , Paul Froom , Zvi Shimoni https://ajpojournals.org/journals/index.php/EJS/article/view/1544 From Entertainment to Agnoisation: Social Media Impact on Students’ Life during COVID 19 Pandemic 2023-07-28T14:19:51+03:00 Fahad Ahmed Fahad.ahmed@tih.org.pk Danish Siddiqui Fahad.ahmed@tih.org.pk Atiya Khan Fahad.ahmed@tih.org.pk Danish Khan Fahad.ahmed@tih.org.pk Javeria Akhter Fahad.ahmed@tih.org.pk Aithisham Parvez Fahad.ahmed@tih.org.pk
Purpose: According to “Global Statshot Report” indicating 4.65 billion Social Media (SM) consumers in Oct 2021, its numbers present almost 57.6 percent of the world population.
